What I Got For Christmas 2017

I know, we are two weeks into January. But, considering this is my first post of the year, I thought sharing some of what I got for Christmas last month would be Okay.

Bar Stools: I got these bar stools for my kitchen island. I already had some bar stools, but I felt like they were a bit small for this new space. They were perfect in my previous kitchen. The new ones are much bigger, and have a back rest which keeps them from getting lost in the room. I got four of the new bar stools. At first I thought would be too crowded but it ended up looking better with 4. They are nice and sturdy and definitely make it much more comfortable sitting at the island.

Shoes: As you know, I love a comfy slip on sneaker. For Christmas, I received this pair of Kate Spade sneakers. They are black suede and have silver stars on them. I love stars, and sneakers, so you will definitely see me wearing these pretty often this winter.

Vanity Mirror: You may have seen this one on Instagram recently. I got the Impressions Vanity Mirage II mirror. Unlike they’re typical vanity mirrors, this on has LED bulbs inside the mirror. As opposed to the bulbs all around the outside of the mirror. I decided to hang mine instead of setting it on the table so that there would be more room on the vanity table. This vanity mirror is the perfect addition to my beauty/studio room! I am excited to finish decorating the room and share it with everyone.

Handbag: I was in need of a new black bag so when I was excited to see I received the Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis crossbody bag in Noir. As far as black handbags go, I had still been using my Saint Laurent bucket bag I got back in 2014. It really was a great bag and worth the splurge. I know I’ll still continue to use it too! This Louis Vuitton has a bit more space in it which is nice. I prefer my handbags on the small side, and this one is just the right size. It has two compartments, so I can keep my items split up. It also fits my phone comfortably, I can throw in some lipstick, face powder and a few other items without it feeling stuffed.

Tom Everhart Print: Tom Everhart is the only person licensed to paint the Peanuts comic strip characters. As you may know, I am a big fan of Peanuts and Charles Schulz. So it’s no surprise I love the Tom Everhart Paintings. I already have one from the Doggy Paddle Collection, all I need to do is get it framed and hang it up in one of my rooms.

Tiffany’s Mugs: I am not a coffee drinker but these mugs are so cute! I got 4 of them. Two were the classic Tiffany blue color with a white bow, and the other had scenes from 5th and Madison Ave. in New York.

So there you go, those are some of the things I received this Christmas. While we are on the topic of Christmas gifts, one of my favorites gifts that I gifted this year were Ancestry DNA kits. I have a kit to each my parents, and my husband! It’s going to be fun to see what the results are when they come in, I can’t wait. I know my parents (especially my mom) are also excited to see what it’s going to say.

What was your favorite gift you received or gifted this holiday season?
