The last week of October I went to Austin for 6 days… I was there for the Formula 1 race that was held there Friday through Sunday but decided to go a few days earlier and just enjoy some days in Austin before the busy weekend. We stayed at the Lost Pines Resort which is just right outside Austin, and next to a 1,150 acre wilderness area, so it feels like you’re just away from it all.
As soon as we arrived to the grounds of the hotel, I spotted an area with mini horses, mini donkeys, and mini alpacas! They were so cute, I loved driving by them every time we headed back to the hotel. The hotel had all kinds of activities you could do, but unfortunately I didn’t get to do any of them since I was going in and out of Austin everyday. I had planned on doing some star gazing and looking through their telescopes on Saturday night, but it was pretty chilly and I was a bit tired from having an early wake up call that day, and the next. I did, however, get to roast some smores by their huge fire pits at night, which is always fun.
