Ending the year with my favorite combinations, black, white, and gold! If you are looking for a necklace to make a statement, then this gold chain necklace is sure to do it! I wore it under my white blouse so that you were able to see a little gold peeking through, but definitely still enough to make a statement. I finished off the look with a black and gold bracelet, to compliment the touches of leather on the leggings, and a small black clutch.
For my everyday attire, I usually keep things pretty simple. A comfy grey or black tee and then use accessories to finish off the look. During the fall and winter months one of my favorite accessories is a scarf, especially when it’s a purple and pink leopard scarf. With jewelry, sometimes it’s also nice to keep things simple. I really love this delicate gold chain bracelet from Berricle, the little round stones give help it give it just a little more attention.
A fun little dress for a night out to dinner. This Kate Spade ‘Laurence‘ dress is girly, as many Kate Spade dresses are, but the black color and studded collar gives it a nice edgy detail. Red lips are pretty rare on me but I thought they went well with the dress. I used both a liner and lipstick in the color Icon by Hourglass.
With the weather starting to cool off, especially in the evenings, it’s time to bring out the boots. I paired these Frye booties with a lazer cut faux leather tee that I found at target for super cheap on clearance, and a simple black flared skirt. I was definitely feeling a little rock and roll once I added the leather cuff!
This weeks ” In the Details” post is a little different.. Earlier this month when I was visiting my sister, I was sitting around her place and thought there were so many cute details, like this pink balloon dog, that I just had to snap a couple shots around her home! They are just too cute not to share, so here they are and I hope you enjoy this “special edition” of In the Details!
I am back in Texas after being in Arizona for a week and I thought I would share my traveling outfit when I left. I went with a white dress and wedges. When I arrived in Phoenix I was headed straight to an early dinner so I wanted something cool for the 100+ degree temperature but through on a denim jacket because I tend to get cold when I’m in the airport and on the plane.
Polka dots, pink, and stripes. Although the weather has been pretty warm, and a little humid, I can still wear this blazer and feel comfortable in it since it is linen. I don’t wear prints often and when I do I would say I stick with polka dots or stripes so mixing this polka dot top and striped wedges is about as much pattern mixing you will see me do. I have been trying to add more prints to my wardrobe however, like this maxi dress I posted last week!
